There will no longer be any episodes put out for the HHH. There's been issues here for a while and they finally ended where the hosts are no longer able to put out a show. It was fun while it lasted and I consider 4 years a pretty good run. Met some fun and interesting people, got involved with conventions, it was all a blast.

Thanks for the support from everyone, it's always fun going through the comments and reading what people have to say. Unfortunately Libsyns comment section is completely overrun by spam so it makes it kind of hard to go through.

If this doesn't seem like it's happening a lot. Really, I'd like to keep doing the show but it's not going to happen for a bit. There's a lot going on here, I've had to move and no longer have the means to record a show. I'm not in a place where I can sit down and make the magic happen. Later on, I expect to fully reboot things, at least that is the hope. Only time will really tell.

Thanks to everyone who has tuned in and continues to keep an eye on things even when nothing is put out. More information will be given down the road once more is known. There's a lot going on and it's hard to really say much currently before everything is really known. It'd all be some sort of half-info and not answer anything.

Ok, so the show isn't getting out like it once was. That much is obvious. Things suck right now, it happens. So I said "eff it" and wanted to do a vidcast. I had a 40 in hand, I was gonna rock a vidcast. I turned on the cam, but I couldn't figure out how to record both video /and/ audio with the included software. There may be a way (it's Microsoft's Lifecam if you're wondering) I just didn't feel like messing with it tonight.

So I turned on Ministry of Sound's 2009 compiliation (good set of club music), hit my 40 solo while hittin' up people on AIM. Tis' the life at the Happy House.

In Japan a store in Akihabara decided to advertise the new Beautiful Katamari game on XBox 360 with this ball of anime girls. The two topless girls holding each other sold me, that's a lot of raunch. A new show is late getting out once again. Although a show is pretty much put together like it always is, it's just a matter of sitting down to record. I just don't seem to ever get in the mood to do so. Hello Kitty keeps talking about doing a show but that never seems to actually happen either.

My motivation in general is just not there to get out shows like it once was. It's a good time once it happens, but that's when it happens, and that's not much lately.

I'm not sure how long it's going to keep going at this point. It's a good community and that's what makes it a blast, but the future is just looking foggy. You should see at least one more show sometime here. We'll see how it goes.

I take everything back I said about Dokidoki Majo Shaipan. This game looks stupid as hell. Watch this clip, it goes through the sequence with one of the witches (who happens to be 14 years old...). Pretty boring stuff. I couldn't even make it all the way though the clip without skipping ahead. It just got so annoying, then it just ends.

I hardly keep games for long either. I recently signed up for Gamefly's 1-out plan in hopes it'll save money. I'd rather spend $16/mo. on 3-4 games then trade in and lose $40/game. If I really want to buy something, I can use my Gamestop discount. Even with that, I just want to spend as little as possible playing games anymore and you have to wait 90-days before you can use the employee checkout program. I need something to play now! Hopefully Gamefly works out, I guess we'll see. The first month is only $8 so I'll just cancel the crap after this month if it sucks. I just have a hard time getting into the games coming out anymore.

Maybe I just didn't realize it when I was younger, but these companies are out to rape you for your dollars. Even if they were about that before, the actual raping didn't really happen much until the current generation. I find it hard to be into a hobby where you need to keep a tube of KY in your back pocket. Gaming is the only hobby I have that makes me feel this way as well.

Dokidoki Majo Saiban is finally out...anyone plan on playing this game?

For those that don't know, it's a DS game by SNK (of King of Fighters fame, and countless other fighting games) where you hunt witches. It's the method of hunting them that is most intriguing about this title, you touch them with the stylus. There's a mark somewhere on their body that shows up when you touch it, this involves plenty of boob flicking.

I'm a bit worried that it may be hard to play if you don't know Japanese but I might give it a whirl. Then again it's $55 after shipping, that's a pretty expensive novelty game just to touch girls...I mean witches. Lord knows I need something to play on my DS, I've tried tons but the only game I haven't gotten rid of is Mario Kart. Like most of Nintendo's stuff they've put out in the last 10 years, it's another crappy system. I do love me some online Mario Kart though.

When it comes down to it, I probably won't get this I don't think. But I sure would love to hear from someone that wasn't afraid to pay $55 to help the witch problem out.

Looks like the new show is running behind. We keep doing it every 9 or so days, a little longer wait then planned. A show was supposed to be out yesterday but things just got busy. It happens, there's hentai on the brain it seems. Holy shit.

This was strange, today some gamerpics in the Xbox 360 popped up for Idolmaster in the US marketplace. This game isn't out anywhere except Japan (where it's huge). Maybe it'll come here? I dunno, but I did plunk down the 200 points for this pics (and taking my balance down to 80 or something, that'll be all the downloading for me for a while). Although it seems like it could be a mistake as some of the description is in Japanese, Major Nelson has it listed on his blog so it's most likely official. Odd though.

There were also several anime themes and gamerpics released, those only in the US market though. Not a bad batch of stuff at least.

War Tech: Senko no Ronde is a fantastic looking XBox 360 game. It's a mix of fighting and shmup with anime characters. I'm surprised this game is even coming to the US at all. Due to it looking like a Dreamcast game, I doubt it'll have many copies going out. If you want to pick this game up, I would recommend preordering it. Game like this generally don't do all that well, or at the very least don't get many copies in to the store. I have mine preordered just to be safe (and I hate preordering things, and Gamestop in general).

Enjoy this video of the game in action, it'll get you ready for when it comes out in a month. Being on XBox, you can probably expect some sort of online multiplayer to boot. It just sounds great. Now if they bring out Onechanbara, I'm really wanting to check that out as well.

I haven't posted up the week's releases in a bit, I keep forgetting to get it together. I come back to do so and find there's nothing this week. I picked a crappy week to make this happen again.

I got a little stick this past Friday and wasn't feeling up to doing a show this last weekend. Guess that's the way it goes sometimes. I'll try and get a show up this week but I'm not sure that's gonna happen. I need to get up an episode of the Phantasy Star Podcast on Tuesday, I probably won't want to try and record two shows that day. I'll try and get the next show up early at least (maybe Friday?) and then if we're really cookin', get another show up on the normal time Sunday night.

We'll see how it goes, everytime I say I'm going to get an extra show out, it never seems to happen. School and work during the week keep me tied up and busy. I wish I could replace school with hentai and work cleaning up dead hookers, but that's not the case right now.

This Saturday (10/21/06) Gamestop is doing an after-hours party where you can preview some Gears of War stuff. There's going to be some movies, I'm not sure what else though. They'll be giving away some swag to everyone who goes to top it off, that's always nice. It'll be going on from when Gamestop closes at 9pm for about an hour. Call your local store to see if they're participating. Hello Kitty and I should be going.

Don't forget your I.D. as well, Gamestop will be carding for the event for 17+ (for the M-rating on Gears of War). Or it could just be it'll be a drunken orgy inside.

So last night was going to be the last real day to play Phantasy Star Universe. The demo expires on the 18th, the 17th Live is going to be down for Microsoft maintenance. So Monday the 16th was going to be it, the last night I was going to throw a few hours of my life away.

So much for that, it turns out it went down that evening. I talked with someone that played it earlier in the day just fine but the Sega servers broke that evening. Not sure what happened, but the game definitely wasn't logging in anymore. I tried over about an hour of time with no changes, so much for that.

I won't get another chance until the 18th for maybe a couple of hours before it expires. I'm not even sure I'll bother. I only hope Sega can fix all the problems before the final release. It's not much time before it comes out and the game has a fair amount of problems that need to be addressed. Plus the servers are broken now too. Good luck Sega.

After being delayed for a couple of days, it's finally out, the Phantasy Star Universe beta. It's on XBox Live and you must have a Gold account to access this download. So the next Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball game is due out come November, although Tecmo has decided to drop the "Beach Volleyball" part of the name opting for just Dead or Alive Xtreme 2. Although it's basically like the last game that was on XBox. You have the DoA girls wearing bikini's, playing volleyball, minigames, and shopping/customizing. The sequel will be out on XBox 360 for all your dirty HD gaming needs.

I'm mixed on it though. The last one sold for $50, the normal retail price at the time. So you can expect this next one to be $60 if they keep the same standards. That's pricey, I didn't even buy the last one until I could get it for under $20 used. I was glad I didn't pay full retail for it, and I'll most likely wait a while on the next one...

...That's if I can hold out, take a look at the picture I've included here. Holy shit, they've really made some skimpy bikini's in this version. The last one just had the hot chicks in bikini's, the sequel has looked like more of the same...up until now. Some pictures have leaked out, they have cut away all the excess, this is gaming goodness. Will we get to see some realistic "nip-slips" while these girls are riding jet-ski's in the upcoming game? Not likely, but it would be nice. But this is shaping up to be a nice looking game at least. I dunno if it'll be worth the $60, but I do like in-game perversion. If it was $40, I'd be sold. Who knows though, I don't believe an official price has been relesed yet.

Finally, hentai on the DS and Wii. Take a look at the picture here, it's the Wii-mote being used for the single best purpose I can think of. If the Wii has games like this, I'm sold. Hell, I might even get the Japanese Wii just to make sure I can play imports. This is a brilliant use of technology!

We had some interest in a Happy House of Hentai Myspace Group so we went ahead and got it going. Esentially it's the same thing as the forums but maybe we'll pick up some more listeners or something along those line. If you have a Myspace account, why not go check it out.

I'm a little mixed on it I think. There's a good community at the Moon Masters Forum and Otaku Generation has the OGchan picture boards filled with hentai and porn, but we'll give it a shot. Myspace is a big area, maybe we'll pick up some new folks, meet some different people, or just in case some listeners out there have Myspace accounts but not Moon Masters Forum accounts.

With the PS3 delayed in Europe, gamers over there are getting fed-up with Sony. Hell, I would too if I was looking forward to the system. The fact that I'm not buying this until a few price-drops happen, it really doest effect me.

There's a guy in this video that says he's still waiting for the PS3 because it'll offer "better online gaming". What the hell? What gives him that impression, Sony sure hasn't been able to do that yet. I think at this point in the game, nobody is going to do better then XBox's Live service. Sure, someone might do better later, but if you expect that kind of service with the PS3's launch, you're nuts.

I did new releases one show but I didn't really like the way it came across. There was some news this morning that Pluto is no longer considered a planet. This is good news since that object floating around out there could hardly be considered a planet in the first place. It's been on the table for a couple of years now that astronomers have been discussing what to do about it. It was either cut the planet or add several other objects floating out there similar to Pluto. So get the fuck out Pluto.

And of course there's better terms then what I used here, I just don't know them off the top of my head. I'm mildly interested in astronomy, just not enough to really know the terms...or care.

There was no show this week because of a busy Sunday, it just didn't happen. Then Monday I find my Libsyn account has been closed. Turned out my credit card was denied because I forgot to get a payment out to it to bring the credit limit back up. So the last couple of days have just been waiting for Visa to open my card back up so I can get my Libsyn sub working again. Of course you'd never know just by looking at this page it was down as Libsyn keeps everything up for 30 days after last payment before they delete it all.

I'm hoping to have a new show up soon to make up for last Sunday. If all works out, there will be another show up for this coming Sunday as well. But keep an eye out for it!

Here's a retro promo video that was put out back in the Turbo Duo's prime in the early 90s. It's funny to note the look of the gamers then, you certainly weren't cool if you were a gamer (and this commercial proves it).

Funny things to note, a part where the kid says he'd get rid of his SegaCD for a Duo to play Lords of Thunder. Maybe someone forgot to tell him Lords of Thunder was released on the SegaCD as well (although it didn't look as good, but hell, you already have the system dumbass). Also a part where they interview a store clerk who states SegaCDs aren't selling at all and they've only sold a couple in 4 months. Um...and Turbo Duo was selling well?

I love the Duo, but I didn't become a fan of the system until after stores were putting everything on clearance to make room for SNES stuff. I couldn't afford the SNES or Genesis, but a TG16 on clearance fit my budget.

And then there's this video. It's a little long at almost 20 minutes and is craptacular but covers the Turbo Grafx, Express, and Duo systems. If you ever wondered why the Turbo Grafx failed, just take a look at this marketing. Absolutely horrible. That kid dancing around with headphones and the detached Turbo Grafx CD unit acting like he's listening to music is fucking nuts, there's not even a power cord attached (they even note the fact in the video).

The summer school semester is coming to a close. I had a final for one of my classes yesterday. Well, people like to have these potlucks at the end. I hate these potlucks. I'm busy so I don't talk to anyone at class. Most people in my classes are fucking stupid, I have a very busy schedule, so I don't feel like taking time out of my day to humor somebody by talking to them about nothing.

So they want to have this potluck, of course I bring the crap. Plates and forks I already had at the house from a camping trip, and instead of napkins I just popped in the bathroom right before walking into class to grab some paper towels. But wait! That's not all, I also brought cokes. I left them in my car for 24hrs where they cooked. Nobody wanted to drink them. Also, as it turned out, somebody else brought the plates and shit so I ended up contributing nothing to this thing. And I took all my cokes home to put in the fridge.

I really don't care for school, I've mentioned it before that every class I go to I just find very disappointing that these people want to be teachers. My favorite class easily had to be the one with this potluck, the people in it were very diverse. You had the 35 year old whore that has 5 kids and started popping them out when she was 16. You have some 30 year old guy that was raped and beaten by his father. A couple of middle-aged women whose lives are already over yet they are making a last ditch effort to do something, and they don't understand a thing continuously asking stupid questions and interrupting the class. And then some retarded girl married to a cop who actually brags about being in a "special" class. I think she thinks it was a "gifted" class, but she's a little cornfused. You gotta love how open all these people are about this shit as well. God I love summer classes...fuck.

We keep hearing things about how hard it still is to get a DS system over in Japan. But what's the situation in the US? There is no situation, you can walk in anywhere now and expect to find a DS. At least an old-style DS.

We are stock-piled on them. I can still go to several stores, especially those with lower videogame turnover like Hastings, and nab the old DS combo packs that include Animal Crossing or Mario Kart without any trouble at all. Maybe it's because of this that it's harder to get the DS Lite as stores want to cut down on some of this old stock, or maybe stores just keep selling out of the Lite's as they come in. And lets face it, who the hell wants a DS classic when you can get the Lite for the same price.

Stores like Gamestop that are big with the used selection have a mountain of old used DS systems. A recent trip I took to a Gamestop I wandered over to the glass case where they keep the systems, the bottom shelf was covered with them in a pile. I guess they're just not getting rid of these. Then again, they want $100 for a used system where you know the touch screen has been used and abused with scratches (as these touch-screens get no matter how well you take care of them) and they include no box or instructions. Screw that.

Eventually, I imagine all these old DS systems will just be making their way to a bargain bin before the landfill. Much like the original Gameboy system after the countless remakes they did on that thing. But then people keep buying little updates so who can blame them. Nintendo and Apple love doing that to people, and it works. I've messed with a Lite, while it's nice I don't see it as being enough to replace a system I originally paid $150 for and can now sell for less then $50. Just like I'm keeping my 4th Generation color iPod, fuck that video bullshit.

It's been popping up a little bit now, how the PSP is already dead with one foot in the grave. I've wondered about this, I enjoy my own PSP quite a bit. It sees 10x the play my DS gets. Although I think both are good systems, the PSP just has more of the gaming experience I'm looking for. Over at DCEmu, there was a good article posted so check it out. It's a good read with some interesting perspectives on why things are the way they are.

We had a show recorded but the audio quality is so bad I've decided to can it instead of trying to release something that 99% of people won't want to put up with. Something may or may not show up to replace it, I'm not sure yet. I hate this shit when I can't get it working correctly. Maybe we're trying to do too much on too basic of equipment here and it's not cutting it. Echos, unbalanced audio, and other such problems are just starting to push it. The show sounds like a fucking turd.

I have a short seven minute drive to get to work in the morning that is usually uneventful. Except this morning that is. There happened to be a couple of dogs in the road that decided to start doing the humpty hump. Luckily it wasn't in my lane but it did hold up traffic in the other late. I laughed at that, dogs are always in the road but will move most of the time to avoid cars. But when they are busy doing their business, they didn't move for shit.

Also, to update on the notebook, I found it at work. It fell between a box and some papers underneath my desk. I'll have the "lost" content next week. It also had some content for my next Gaiden show. We're back in business at least.

Hello Kitty recently went to our local Dollar General store to find they had $3 anime dvd's there. Easily the best price for anime anywhere beating out the $4 anime dvd's from Big Lots that Aaron from Weekly Anime Review has talked about on one or two of his past shows.

It's not a huge selection, and trying to get a complete set may involve have to go to more then one store (one store may only have vol.2 and 4 of a series) but it gets you started. Doing a quick search on the internet pulled up some info that this has been going on for a while so maybe I'm behind on the times. It's still nice to see that options are out there where you can nab plenty of anime out there for not much money.

At least in the US, news of the Enron chairman who had a heartattack and died has been on the tv and radio a lot today. This was one of the chairman responsible for the big Enron scandle a while back. He was set to be tried coming up soon but died of a heartattack before that could happen.

After having yeseterday off, I must've gotten too much relaxing done because I overslept today. I woke up an hour late so I just showed up an hour late to work as well. No big deal, there were actually two other people that did this as well. Hell, getting up early sucks.

I didn't do anything constructive on my day off either. I read a few Death Note mangas to get up to vol. 6 (the latest one released in the US) and watched about 5 episodes of Air (an anime). I may or may not talk about Death Note on a future Gaiden show. Dan the Fan already reviewed it on an Otaku Generation show and his reviews are much better then mine so just go search the OG page to find the show it was on.

Then Hello Kitty and I met up with some of her family to watch fireworks. I'm not a huge fan of fireworks either. It's just the same thing over and over. I already saw this before, there's not much else to offer. I like them and all, but if it wasn't for Hello Kitty I really wouldn't even take the time to go see them. But that's ok, it was still a good time to enjoy together at the very least.

As I mentioned on the last show, Podcast Pickle resets all their favorites twice a year. On July 1st and January 1st it all gets cleared out. I wasn't aware of this time period when I started the contest.

I picked up Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi for the DS yesterday. I have never heard of this game and I've never even heard Puffy AmiYumi's music. I only know they're some Japanese group. I saw the game and thought that seems different, a game based on some Japanese group, I'll give it a shot.

I should've taken the hint at the register when the clerk told me it's based on a tv series. We all know games based on tv, movies, and anime all suck cock. It crossed my mind for a second that I should tell him nevermind, I don't want the game. But I didn't, I figured I'd pick it up and look it up later. It looks ok, a sort of beat-em-up mixed with Mario or something. Plus it has 2-player co-op with 1 cartridge, that's a huge plus.

I get home and look it up, sure enough there seems to be a show on Cartoon Network it's based on. We don't have cable so I wasn't aware of this. Maybe if I would've paid attention to the big "Cartoon Network Interactive" logo on the back I would've known. I believe this is the same company that produces nothing but utter shit like the Powerpuff Girls games on the Gameboy Color. There are also absolutely no reviews out there on the internet for it yet. That probably means the company didn't release games early to reviewers which only happens when the game is crap.

So we've decided to take it back. After debating on opening it anyway and giving 2-player co-op a try, it just seems like it'd be a waste. Knowing that it's really based on some crappy Cartoon Network series really took any charm out of it I initially saw. Cartoon Network used to make good series, but that was several years ago. They've become a cesspool of turds now. But even when they had good shows, the games were still fucking horrible.

Kotaku had a blog post yesterday for the Angry Nintendo Nerd reviews. I have to say these are by far some of the best reviews I've seen, this is just some funny shit. There is a new leader in video game reviews and it's this guy. It just came out at the beginning of the month and so far there's been a new one every week. I just hope it keeps up.

The page seems to be working normally again as well. I'm hoping to have Gaiden #3 up tonight so stay tuned. Or not, it's pretty horrible (as I've mentioned in the forum post for it if you ever visit the forums).

Libsyn decided to upgrade something in their system last night. As a result my stuff isn't working quite right. I'm not sure if it's the entire system or just me. I've had some odd problems lately so I'd bet it's something with my account. As a result, my new shows aren't downloading correctly. They post and look ok from my end, but when I try to download it I don't get anything.

I have a Gaiden #3 ready to go. I recorded last night but couldn't upload it right away do to the Libsyn upgrade. I tried this morning and ran into these problems. Hopefully it gets going soon. It is sitting on my home computer ready to go though so as soon as Libsyn lets me know I'm good to go again, it'll be there.

I took 3 days off of work to go to A-Kon so today (Tuesday) is my first day back since last Wednesday. Since I usually work with another fellow in the office, we cover each other when the other takes off. Unfortunately the other guy had some Jahova Witness thing he goes to in Wyoming every summer that fell during the same dates as A-Kon. The boss let us both take off but it means someone just gets pulled from another position to man the phones leaving the work of several days piling up.

The other guy doesn't get back until next week so I'll be spending today (and maybe tomorrow) just catching up with everything by myself. Anime conventions are fantastic so it's worth it I suppose. After the long drive and school last night, it's tired out. Catching up on work blows. But I guess real life isn't just an all-night porno theatre.

Jacob sent me in another good offer. ADV has a deal going on where you can get a Newtype Subscription for $75. This is the cheapest I've seen, normally it's $80-$90 per year. So if you've been thinking about it, might as well jump on it and save a few dollars while you can.

For those who don't know about Newtype, it's an excellent anime magazine chock full of info. They're good for news on new series just coming out in Japan as well as stuff coming out in the US (and Australia, Europe, and other places). Plus the pack-in DVD with various episodes of new anime is always a plus.

We mentioned in the last podcast we'll record the show live over at A-kon and then simply upload it when we return. It turns out I've misplaced my mobile recorder. I took it out of my bag and left it on the couch. We've cleaned since then and I'm not sure where it was moved to. I'd say there's a slim chance it's going to pop up in the next couple of days.

Instead we'll just keep notes on what's going on and then come back and make our report. I wasn't planning on recording any panels or anything of the sort anyway. I don't listen to that stuff on other casts because it's hard to hear and I just don't get into that it. We were just gonna record a little bit in the room at the end of each day. For the most part, I really don't think the content will change so no big deal really

I've also had a few problems with Libsyn lately and wasn't sure what was going on. I was over quota when I shouldn't have been and didn't know why. Maybe I'm a dumbass, or maybe Libsyn needed to put it across better. It turns out they changed the way they archive files. Before, your account reset at the beginning of every pay cycle. Now files don't archive for 30 days. They recently changed that but unless you look over the Libsyn documents regularly, there was no telling that.

The Libsyn support I don't feel is really performing as well as they should lately. I used to get replies within hours, no it takes several days. It took five days for them to get back to me about the quota problem. They didn't even answer my question, one of them just pasted the archiving policy and I read for the answer myself. I don't mind looking it over for myself except they didn't point out any change or anything else in it either. They simply just sent the document to me and nothing else.

I guess that's the way it goes, I'll be glad once it's all running smoothly again anyway.

After having the page up and down for the last several days, it should be back up for good again. Libsyn got the problem all taken care of. I had to reupload the last two shows so you may need to download them if they didn't download automatically.

Show #18 was a blast with Aaron and Dan, they're both great guys. I've been trying to get Aaron on the show for a while but busy schedules always seemed to get in the way. Unfortunately the audio-quality was a little on the low side. We sounded good when I tested with each of them individually, but once we connected the conference call it didn't stick. Usually Skype is better about balancing audio then Gizmo. But it was still a good time. I hope it's at least bearable.

Hopefully everyone that had a day off got to enjoy it. At least in the US, many places are closed due to our holiday here giving some folks a long weekend. Although I'm not doing anything special other then tweaking the page now that it's up, cleaning house, and watching anime.

I dropped off my ATV to get an oil change recently. Sure, that's something easy I should be able to do but it still had the original oil filter on it. We haven't used it enough to need a real change yet, that mother fucker was stuck on there though. After screwing with it for a while, I decided it would just be easier to take in to a shop for service.

I got a call yesterday that it doesn't seem to start quite right. I've noticed it a little but it starts so I haven't thought much of it. After they went ahead and looked at it, I need to replace a $150 part. Well, I need it running as I plan to start racing again soon so I guess that's how it goes.

To note about the races, I'm certainly not serious about it. You typically race a sport model ATV. I race a utility model(the ones with racks, sports don't have racks). I can't win in it, I'm too heavy and slow. My weight is twice as much as a sport model. The only people I win against are usually people that wreck and have to quit. But it's a blast anyway. Plus I'm usually the only one out there on a utility so I've become known a bit for being crazy doing that. I'd rather do rally racing, but since New Mexico doesn't offer that anywhere(plus it's much more expensive) ATV racing is really the closest thing to it and doesn't cost nearly as much.

I haven't raced since last summer either becuase I started taking Saturday classes. Now that I can't find anything on Saturdays for the rest of the year, my weekends are free again for stuff like this.

Well, I like games almost as much as I like hentai and anime. Over at Kotaku they had some links to a couple of free 1 year subscriptions to some magazines. So nab a free year of EGM and Official Playstation Magazine while they are up. I've been getting EGM free for years through deals like this so they definately work. Only suckers pay for magazine subscriptions anymore(well, except for those damn anime magazines, I sure would like to find a free, or even discounted, Newtype sub). Enjoy.
